Investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has denied media reports claiming that Ibrahim Mahama, CEO of Engineers & Planners, gave him seven days to delete parts of his book that allegedly tarnish Mahama's image.
The controversy stems from Manasseh's book, The President Ghana Never Got, which suggests that Mahama's company, Engineers & Planners, was a major debtor of Merchant Bank during its 2013 sale to Fortiz.
Mahama's lawyers demanded a retraction and apology, asserting that the debt was owed by the company, not Mahama personally.
Manasseh has referred the matter to his lawyers.
