Firebrand Ghanaian lawyer, Maurice Ampaw has described Ibrahim Mahama the younger brother of John Dramani Mahama as a fraudster.
The lawyer revealed that asserted Mahama Ibrahim needs to be jailed.
He said this after it was made known that Ibrahim Mahama had issued some dud cheques to the states and was being investigated by EOCO.
Speaking to the media he said, "there’s fraud in this. His reason for issuing the dud cheques so many times is unreasonable and must be arraigned before court”.
The Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO) had earlier invited Ibrahim Mahama earlier this week to come an answer why he had issued so many dud cheques for as payment to the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) at the Tema Ports to clear some heavy duty equipment he imported into the country.
Ibrahim Mahama was also made to hand over his passports after the interrogation.
Lawyer Maurice Ampaw is calling the govern to punish Mr. Ibrahim with the maximum sentence and not dare cover anything up.
