National Vice-chairperson of the National Democratic Congress, Anita Desoso says she is not vexed by comments made by former President John Jerry Rawlings accusing her of bleaching.
“I am not worried at all, I am fair and my father [Rawlings] is also fair,” she said.
Mr. Rawlings upon taking turn to deliver his speech at the 39th anniversary celebration of June 4th, berrated Anita Desoso for her sudden fair complexion.
“She [Anita Desoso] is getting too fair. ‘Y3ngyai sa samina no na 3ny3’, to wit, let us stop using that bleaching soap because it is bad. She said I am his father and so let me tell her what I want to say”, a seemingly unenthused Rawlings noted amidst laughter from the crowd.
Mr. Rawlings’ comments came moments after Desoso knelt down and begged him to forgive the sins of the NDC.
Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Ghana Montie’; Anita Desoso rubbished claims by others that she was publicly disgraced by the former president.
“If my alleged bleaching is what will reunite us [NDC] with our founder [John Jerry Rawlings], then I have no problem whatsoever with his comment,” She said.
