It’s your responsibility to deal with galamsey now, not mine – Mahama tells Akufo-Addo

John Dramani Mahama, the NDC’s 2024 Presidential candidate, has urged President Nana Akufo-Addo to take responsibility for addressing illegal mining ("galamsey") while still in office.

Speaking at a rally in Ningo Prampram, Mahama reminded the President that tackling galamsey is his duty as the current leader.

He also assured the public that, if elected in 2025, he would prioritize solving the issue.

Mahama’s comments were in response to Akufo-Addo’s challenge for him to clarify his stance on the matter, which Mahama said he has already done on several platforms.
