An Accra High Court has adjourned the murder trial of late Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, JB Danquah Adu.

This was as a result of the absence of the court witness who happens to be the psychiatrist who examined the prime suspect in the case, Daniel Asiedu.

The witness who works with the Accra Psychiatric Hospital was the one who cleared the main suspect fit to stand trial.

He was invited by the court upon a request by the Lawyer of Daniel Asiedu for cross examination.

Though the psychiatrist has cleared the suspect to be medically fit, his lawyer thinks otherwise due to his abnormal behavior.

He maintains that his client may be suffering from a mental condition due to some utterances he makes when he visits him.

The counsel for Daniel Asiedu after the clearance has been interrogating the psychiatrist but could not finish before the legal vacation.

Daniel Asiedu and his alleged accomplice Vincent Bossu are standing trial for the murder of former MP for Abuakwa JB Danquah-Adu at his residence at Shiashie on February 9, 2016.

They have been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder and both have since pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The court presided over by Justice George Boadi following the absence of the psychiatrist adjourned the case to November 5, 2019, with the hope that the witness will be in court that day.
