K?dua residents flee homes

...for fear of military attacks

Some resident of Koforidua have reportedly fled their homes to avoid what they fear could have be an imminent attack by soldiers avenging the death of their colleagues stabbed to death by a civilian two weeks ago.

Both police and military commands in the region have declined to comment on the incident.

But Joy News sources say police investigators are facing difficulties finding the culprit only named as Belebebe who is believed to have gone into hiding.

The investigators are having a tough time because they do not have any photograph of him.

Joy News correspondents in the region say resident of the three towns: Krutown, Zongo and Effiduase live in fear.
