One of the five presidential aspirants in this year’s Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Students Representative Council elections, Ibrahim Ali, has been disqualified from contesting.
The level 300 History student was disqualified after failing to appear before the Electoral Commission vetting panel on March 7.
With the exception of him, all 13 other persons vying for various portfolios were approved by the panel.
The SRC election, scheduled to be held later this month, will have four persons vying for the office of the President, two for General Secretary, four contesting for Treasurer and three in the Women’s Commissioner race.
