The man who has been granted the lawful Attorney to stand in for Anas Aremeyaw Anas in the GHC25 million defamation suit against Kennedy Agyapong, says the legislator will not be able to provide evidence for even half of his allegations leveled against the investigative journalist.
Listowell Yesu Bukarson, who is also a journalist said, the maverick politician have leveled about 12 allegations against Anas Aremeyaw Anas but he will not be able to support them with the needed evidence.
He said, the quest to also unveil Anas will be an interesting request because if [Agyapong] will demand to unveil Anas, then he will probably have to see Anas through his face.
Kennedy Agyapong has, in the past week, been publishing materials in his bid to discredit the investigative journalist, who has released an explosive piece on the rot in Ghana football.
Anas last week through his lawyer, Mr Kissi Agyebeng, sued Mr Agyapong for the award of general damages for defamation in the defendant’s publications. But the MP says he was scared about the suit.
He reiterated his resolve to unmask Anas Aremeyaw Anas in court. The legislator said he will not accept any decision by Anas not to appear in court and will be willing to pay GHc25 million should he lose the case in court.
Mr Agyapong is currently on a business trip in China and has not been served with the writ but Mr Yesu says he will be served when he arrives in Ghana. Anas he emphasized is not perturbed but focused and will only end his quest to expose rot in society when corruption is eradicated in Ghana and the globe.
‘’Anas is very strong, focused and determined. Anas is very relaxed and anyone attempting to write anything negative about Anas will be wasting his or her time,’’ he added.
