The Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP) parliamentary candidate for Klottey Korle constituency, Joshua Rockson has withdrawn his candidature to support Dr. Zanetor Agyeman Rawlings in the upcoming election.
Rockson who complained of lack of support from his party is optimistic NDC’s Zanetor will win the Klottey Korle seat.
The Klottey Korle constituency is also a hot-bed of political history, having seen plenty of controversies ahead of the November polls. The two main political parties in Ghana, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have a huge interest in the seat which is currently occupied by the NDC’s Nii Armah Ashietey.
Meanwhile the defeated New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant in the Klottey Korle constituency, Valentino Nii Noi Nortey will also contest the seat as an independent candidate in the December polls.
