Mr Kobby Acheampong, National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Cape Coast North Constituency, has been captured in circulated images being prayed for at a Hare Krishna Temple.
It not immediately known if the prayer session was done for the Former Deputy Minister during a campaign tour of his constituency or whether he is a believer of the Hare Krishna movement which is a branch of Hinduism, formally known as Gaudiya Vaishnavism.
In one of the pictures, the candidate is spotted sitting on the floor and decorated with red flowers while being prayed for by someone believed to be the head of temple clad in all white.
But the NDC candidate has always maintained that education, access to quality health and welfare of the aged are among his top priorities when given the mandate.
According to him, education and health are key to human development and pledged to implement programmes geared towards improving those sectors to enhance the development of the people.
