An Accra Circuit Court has convicted two of the escapees in the Kwabenya cell break of Sunday, January 21.
The two – Prince Osei and Atta Kwadwo – were convicted on their own plea after they pleaded guilty to Count 3 and 4 of conspiracy to commit crime to escape from lawful custody.
The third accused person, Kofi Darko, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Court, therefore, deferred judgement to Tuesday, February 13.
Presiding Judge His Honour Aboagye Tandoh urged prosecution to consult the Attorney General on Count 1 and 2 which borders on possession of firearm without lawful authority and abatement to possessing firearm without lawful authority.
