Barima Nana Freduah Agyemang Okotomin, Kyebi Kyidomhene and Chairman of the Okyeman Environment Foundation Steering Committee, has expressed concern over environmental degradation and water pollution caused by illegal mining and logging.
He emphasized on the need for traditional leaders to take responsibility and enforce customary laws to address these issues.
He encouraged citizens to hold traditional leaders accountable and make their laws work to protect the environment.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has also expressed concern over climate change, pollution, and health issues in Ghana, and is working with the government to address these issues.
