Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Torkornoo has warned lawyers against unethical practices, stressing that the legal profession should prioritize integrity over wealth.
Speaking at the Ghana Bar Association conference, she criticized the trend of lawyers seeking quick financial gain and highlighted a rising number of ethical violations.
To combat this, the General Legal Council is working with law deans to include legal ethics in law school curricula.
Justice Torkornoo urged lawyers to view their role as guardians of the law, not just a pathway to riches.
