Leicester University awards late Major Mahama's Masters degree in grand style

The late Major Maxwell Mahama was a distance learning student in the school’s Criminology Department, reading for the degree of Master of Science (MSc) in Security and Risk Management.
He had enrolled in the Leicester University in 2015 but unfortunately passed away before his graduation held on July 13, 2017.
In the wake of his demise, the University of Leicester conferred a posthumous honorary degree on the late Major. Several Ghanaians graduated with various degrees at the congregation.
Major Mahama who was an officer of the 5th Infantry Battalion was lynched by residents of Denkyira Obuasi during one of his jogging sessions in May 2017. Reports suggest the mob mistook him for an armed robber and hence attacked him.
Major Maxwell Adam Mahama was on Friday June 9, 2017 was given a state burial at the military cemetery in Osu after he was mistaken for a robber and killed by residents of Denkyira-Boase in a mob attack.
There are still conflicting accounts as to circumstances that led to the death of Major Maxwell Adam Mahama who was the platoon Commander at Denkyira-Boase in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region.
