Bolga Central Member of Parliament, Isaac Adongo, has described Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as a “liar” and a “concert party” Vice President.
Hitting back at Dr Bawumia following his (Bawumia’s) description of the Minority in Parliament as an “ignorant” bunch, who do not understand the workings of the economy, and, thus, need to do some reading, the angry NDC MP told Kwadwo Asare-Barfour Acheampong (KABA) on Asempa FM’s political talk show Ekosii Sen on Friday, 21 April that unless Dr Bawumia withdrew the “insult” he rained on the Minority, he (Adongo) would stand by his description of him as a “concert party” politician.
“That’s an insult, it’s very unpresidential,” Mr Adongo said of Dr Bawumia’s comment, adding: “He is a very senior person in this government, and, so, he must watch his words.”
“We are not ready to accept a [vice] president who is still in a campaign mode, who is intolerant, who will not accept divergent views, who will not accept to answer critical questions but will insult the people who have a critical stake in the governance of this country, and, I, Isaac Adongo, I don’t think that Bawumia can ever call me ignorant because of the lies he has been telling the people of Ghana and the concert party he has been doing.
“In fact in front of him, in his face, I will tell him more than that unless he withdraws the comment of ignorance [he used] on the NDC,” Mr Adongo added.
