Lies and propaganda of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government led pilgrims billed to be airlifted to Islamic Republic of Saudi Arabia for this year’s pilgrimage stranded at Tamale Airport, former Communications Director and member of National Hajj Board, Alhaji Alhassan Suhuyini has alleged.
“It was very embarrassing for the Vice president Dr Mahamudu Bawumia himself to be at the ceremony where in the past the even before he became vice President used to escort the pilgrims to see to their take-off before departing the airport,” he stated.
“In this case, the Vice president was taken all the way to Tamale where there was a lavish ceremony and I am sure he expected that he will do same and perhaps, that is why he came in with a flourish language and the propaganda”
“Propaganda may win you election but when you get to office the propaganda must stop,” the National Democratic Congress (NDC) lawmaker for Tamale North pointed out
“Unfortunately for him, Allah was not asleep and this should be a wake-up call to him”, he said on Joy FM’s Top Story.
“That attempt to criminalize the past government and even in some cases to take the credit from us I will just love to leave the discussion here”
“When we took office there were backlogs and it came as a result of quota system the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia gave us,” Hon. Alhassan Suhuyini explained.
