Lordina Mahama, wife of NDC Presidential Candidate John Mahama, paid a visit to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, to announce her plans to campaign in the Ashanti Region and seek their blessings.
During her visit, Mrs. Mahama expressed her appreciation for the royal family’s support and highlighted her husband's commitment to the presidency. She noted, "Asantehemaa has been like a mother to me."
In response, Asantehemaa offered prayers for God’s guidance in the upcoming elections, acknowledging the competitive nature of the process.
Mrs. Mahama then met privately with Otumfuo to seek his blessings for her outreach efforts.
She was accompanied by key NDC figures, including Regional Chairman Nana Kwasi Andrew, Betty Mould Iddrisu, and Obuobia Darko-Opoku.
