Dr. Bossman Asare, Deputy Chairman of the Electoral Commission (EC), has voiced disappointment over the low female representation in Ghana’s 2024 general elections, with only 120 women contesting out of over 800 candidates.
Speaking at a forum in Winneba attended by religious leaders and political representatives, Dr. Asare highlighted the importance of gender balance in politics for well-rounded national decision-making.
