John Dramani Mahama, NDC flagbearer, criticized the NPP government for the alleged collapse of the Produce Buying Company (PBC), Ghana’s largest cocoa buyer.
Speaking at a campaign event in Enchi Aowin, he highlighted the unpaid wages of PBC workers, who have reportedly gone without pay for 8–9 months.
Mahama blamed mismanagement under the current administration, contrasting it with his tenure when PBC reportedly bought 30% of Ghana’s cocoa.
He used PBC as an example of what he sees as broader economic mismanagement, asserting that the economy has declined over the past eight years under the NPP.
