Michael Mahama, brother of Captain Maxwell Mahama, has said the entire family has been traumatised by the killing of their relative.
According to him, life has not been easy for the family since news about the death of Captain Mahama broke.
Mr Mahama was lynched on Monday May 29 by irate youth of Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region on suspicion that he was an armed robber. The Police have so far picked up six suspects in relation to the matter.
Speaking in an interview with Chief Jerry Forson, host of Ghana Yensom on Accra100.5FM on Thursday June 1, Michael Mahama said: “Life has not been easy after the unfortunate incident, but God is in control, we are managing.
“My brother was more like my guardian and my best friend, he directed me in so many ways and he helped me in so many ways.
“He was the people’s man, everybody liked him because he related well with everyone, everybody loved him so much, he was fun-loving, he was full of life and he brought the family together. He was a very good father, he put his family first, he loved his wife and children so much.”
He added: “After SSS, he decided to join the military. That was what he liked, so he just went for it and joined the military.”
