Majority Leader in Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has asserted that President Mahama’s last State of the Nation Address (SONA) was exceptional.
He said the visual presentation deployed by the President to deliver his address made it exceptional and one of a kind.
"The President stood to his billing of being an accomplished Public Relations Expert. He understood the subject, read the political environment well and delivered the message in a style to the admiration of all objective listeners. It would be recalled that, the President took off by leading the country to do honour to our late colleague, Hon Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu and other compatriots who passed away in the Metro Mass Transit bus accident with an observation of a full minute silence."
The Majority leader made the statements on the floor of the House of Parliament Friday, as members of the House debated the president’s address.
Mr. Bagbin also noted, "I have listened to four Presidents of our dear country deliver 25 messages on the state of the nation. But the 25th Message now under scrutiny of Parliament and the country stands out. It is refreshingly unique. It is unique in presentation, unique in innovation, unique in clarity and unique in detail. "
