President John Dramani Mahama’s scheduled farewell tour of the nation has been postponed indefinitely.
The tour, which was to thank party supporters over the December 7 elections, albeit unsuccessful, was scheduled to begin in the Upper East Region on Tuesday, December 20.
But a source within the Regional Coordinating Council said information obtained on Monday night said the event will not come off.
The tour would have seen President Mahama meet traditional and religious leaders.
It was scheduled to end in the Greater Accra Region on Friday, December 30.
A new start date is expected to be communicated soon.
