Martin Amidu dares Bagbin, says he won’t retract nor apologise

Former Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu has refused to apologise to Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin for remarks made in his article.

Bagbin demanded an apology within seven days, but Amidu only apologised for a typo, correcting "Dubai in 2021" to "Dubai in 2022."

Bagbin denied Amidu's claim that he met with President Akufo-Addo in Dubai before rejecting the 2022 budget, calling the allegations baseless and a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation.

Amidu challenged Bagbin to defend his integrity in court, insisting he had nothing to retract and criticising Bagbin for allegedly misusing public funds for health treatments in Dubai.
