The Minority in Parliament has asked the Special Prosecutor to investigate alleged misuse of public funds in Wa West’s District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP).
They claim that District Chief Executive Vida Dioretey transferred equipment and GH¢400,000 from the project to the NPP’s parliamentary candidate, who holds no official role in the district’s administration.
The Minority says this misallocation undermines public trust and demands accountability.
DRIP, intended to improve district roads, is vital for rural development, and they argue such resources shouldn’t be used for political gains.
