Dr. Omane Boamah, NDC Director of Elections, has urged party agents to be highly vigilant during the EC's mop-up voter registration exercise from August 1 to 3, 2024.
This exercise aims to register 50,000-70,000 new voters across 268 District Offices, 26 Public Universities, and 41 Prison Centres.
Boamah emphasized vigilance due to unresolved issues with the current voters register and concerns over stolen Biometric Voter Registration laptops.
He reiterated the need for a comprehensive audit of the voter register to ensure a transparent electoral process and protect Ghana's democracy.
