Dr. Dominic Ayine, MP for Bolgatanga East, has announced that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will proceed with parliamentary business on October 22, despite a boycott by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The NPP members are protesting Speaker Alban Bagbin's declaration of four seats vacant.
Ayine emphasized that the NDC, now claiming the majority, will repeal controversial policies like the e-Levy, which they have long opposed for its financial burden on Ghanaians.
The NPP, demanding a Supreme Court ruling on the issue, has vowed to stay out until the court decides.
