A former Vice Chancellor for the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), Professor Joshua Alabi, on Tuesday, 4 November 2018, picked a nomination form to contest as the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) despite his stance against the "exorbitant" GHS400,000 filing fee.
A former Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Ken Dzirasah led a delegation to pick the forms on behalf of Prof Alabi at the party’s headquarters in Accra.
The nomination form is being sold for GHS20,000.
The filing fee has been pegged at GHS400,000.
Prof Alabi joins former president John Mahama who also picked the forms on Monday, 3 November 2018.
The NDC’s presidential primary is slated for 19 January 2019.
