NDC calls for Chief Justice’s resignation over ‘self-serving’ judicial appointments

The National Communications Officer of the opposition NDC is calling for the head of the Chief Justice over her selection of judges to the apex court, alleging "self-seeking" interests.

The CJ recommended the appointment of five justices to the Supreme Court, which sparked accusations of collusion between the President and the CJ to shield government officials from accountability.

The NDC called for transparency and fairness in the judicial appointment process, while the Majority in Parliament has defended the Chief Justice's proposal to increase the number of Supreme Court judges to 20, emphasizing that it is within legal boundaries.
