NDC cautions against plans to remove IGP to rig December polls

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has warned against attempts to remove IGP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, accusing President Akufo-Addo of pursuing personal interests and trying to rig the December 7 election.

The NDC deputy secretary, Mustapha Gbande, stated that any attempt to undermine democratic processes will be resisted, and praised IGP Dampare's reforms and discipline in the police service.

He criticized President Akufo-Addo for being irresponsible and prioritizing his interests over the country's well-being.

The NDC will not tolerate any attempts to remove Dampare, who they see as a symbol of discipline and reform in the police service.
