The defected Ekumfi constituency chairman of the NDC Ekow Esilfie Buckman has attributed his exit from the party to the ill-treated meted out to him by the party hierarchy in the region.
According to him, he was denied his share of resources due all party chairman in the region.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Starr News’ central region correspondent Kwaku Baah-Acheamfour, Mr. Esilfie indicated that his name was even deleted from the register for the party's parliamentary primaries making him ineligible to cast his vote as chairman.
These developments, according to him, made him realise that his services were no longer needed in the party, hence the decision to join the NPP to help them win power.
“NDC is cheating me and it’s as if they are not in support of my chairmanship, so I thought it wise to walk out quietly so I can have my peace of mind. Party vehicles were distributed to party officials and none was given to me and I always rely on commercial transport [Trotro]to attend meetings while my colleagues ride in Party vehicles and I don’t think it is fair and clearly it shows I’m not their favourite.
"I even paid for outboard motors and until now I have not received mine, I have written several letters and it has not yielded any results. During the primaries my name was deleted from the list and a whole chairman I couldn’t vote in the primaries,” he narrated.
