Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea, has said the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is committing some fundamental mistakes that would cause their defeat in the December 7 polls as it happened to them (NPP )in 2008.
He said former President J.A. Kufour during his tenure of office pardoned some inmates who were drivers and as well reduced the fuel prices at the time of elections.
Just about two months into the elections President John Dramani Mahama has shockingly brought back the supposed withdrawn nursing trainees’ allowance in full.
The President acting on the recommendations of a committee he set up to look into the allowance saga, decided to pay a meager amount of GHC 150 some weeks ago.
Speaking with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka FM’s AM Drive Wednesday, Nana Akomea alleged that during the 2012 general elections the President quickly paid back some part of the scrapped allowances to the student nurses in their various schools.
Nana Akomea pointed out that due to political convenience and gimmickry the government has behind the scene ordered the police administration to desist from doing their usual checking of licenses, roadworthiness, insurance among others.
He said this development will endanger the lives of Ghanaians.
