Three national communication officers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been invited by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service (GPS).
Their invitation is in connection with the alleged leaked tape containing statements attributed to the chairman of the party, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.
The officers, Sammy Gyamfi, Kwaku Boahen and Godwin Ako Gunn, however revealed that they are at a loss as to why they have been invited by the CID.
One of them, Kwaku Boahen, is reported to earlier admitted that the voice on the tape is actually that of Ofosu Ampofo.
With them at the Police CID headquarters were their lawyers, former attorney general Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong and Tony Lithur.
