NPP Congress On Hold......

…AS COMMITTEE PROBES MISSING ?120M CAMPAIGN MONEY

The Ashanti Regional branch of the NPP, originally slated for March 22, has been put on hold indefinitely.

All three contestants for the position of regional chairman and other activists are being quizzed over the appropriation of ?120 million released to the regional secretariat of the party, for electioneering campaign in the 2000 elections.

All forms of campaigning by aspiring party executives for the congress are to cease while a three-member committee of enquiry headed by Mr. Asare Bediako, a prominent Kumasi lawyer begin sitting on Wednesday.
