A New Patriotic Party (NPP) polling agent in the Odododiodio constituency in the Greater Accra Region collapsed on December 8 shortly after collation.
Class FM’s Nii Otenkorang Ankrah reported that the gentleman had been in his seat since Wednesday evening observing the process with vigilance.
Apparently, he had not eaten before the collation began and fell off his seat prompting the Electoral Commission (EC) officers and other individuals at the centre to revive him and provide some food for him.
Meanwhile, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Odododiodioo, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, was retained with 36, 606 votes while his rival from the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nii Lante Bannerman, garnered 26, 671.
