NPP delegates conference: Kate Gyamfua wins NPP National Women's Organizer

She had 620 votes (93.78%) to secure the position again.

Her two contenders, Ellen Ama Daaku and Hajia Sawudata had 32 votes representing 4.84% and 9 votes representing 1.36% respectively.

Kate who was a former Deputy National Women’s Organizer of the NPP was first elected to the position in 2018.

Kate Gyamfua was a Polling Station Chairperson for over ten years in the Akwatia Constituency.

She subsequently became the Constituency Women’s Organizer in Akwatia for another eight years.

Over 6,000 delegates voted in the election. They included selected party members from all the 16 regions in Ghana plus some members from the diaspora branches of the NPP.

In all, 46 candidates are contesting for ten national executive positions of the NPP.
