The parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfrom constituency, Mr Alexander Ackuako, has said the current Member of Parliament has failed the constituents.
He said for the past four years, the constituency has not seen any significant improvement, hence the need to vote against the NPP in this year’s elections.
Mr Ackuako said on the Ghana Yensom show on Accra100.5FM on Thursday, 28 May 2020 that given the poor performance of the NPP administration, the parliamentary seat will move to the NDC this year.
“As I speak to you, they have already vacated the seat. They are only waiting for December 7 to make it official,” he said.
He added: “The current MP does nothing for the constituency. We haven’t seen any significant development in the past four years and, so, we will go back for the seat which we loaned them.”
He further indicated that the coronavirus outbreak will not stop the elections from happening. “COVID-19 or not, the elections will come off,” he said.
