NPP running mate: Collins Ntim incurs wrath of Ashanti Region with destructive comments

Offinso North MP Augustine Collins Ntim has angered NPP constituency secretaries in the Ashanti Region with comments perceived as detrimental to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's presidential bid.

At a May 26 meeting, Ntim argued against selecting a running mate from Ashanti, suggesting the region would support the NPP regardless.

He proposed Irene Naa Torshie Addo from Greater Accra and questioned Bawumia's ability to secure Christian votes without a Christian running mate.

This sparked backlash, leading the Concerned Ashanti NPP Youth to demand an apology from Ntim.
