The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is suspecting deliberate efforts by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to prevent its key officers from concentrating and actively carrying out their campaign activities by keeping them busy in courts.
According to Director of Legal Affairs of the NDC Lawyer Abraham Amaliba, the party has observed a growing trend of inviting senior officers of the party over alleged crimes.
“What we know is that there is a grand scheme by the NPP to keep our key officers busy in courts so that they cannot partake in the campaign or they cannot organise or lead the process during the campaign period. That we are aware” Lawyer Amaliba said on the PM Show on Bolgatanga based Yem Radio monitored by MyNewsGh.com .
His comment comes on the back of the invitation of the Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Sammy Gyamfi by the Police Criminal Investigations Department.
Sammy Gyamfi’s invitation follows a complaint made to the police by the seat of government, Jubilee House over alleged cybercrime.
