The main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) intends marching to the premises of the Electoral Commission to demand the list of proxy voters ahead of the 7 December polls.
The party’s Director of Elections, Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah told Class News that the march has become necessary because the EC has refused the release the list to the parties despite several demands for it.
“We may have to march to the commission to demand this list from them and we will encourage every NPP member everywhere who is free to escort us or accompany us to the commission to go and demand the list ,” he said.
However, the EC’s Deputy Director of Communication, Yusif Alhassan Yuba told Class News such a march will be unnecessary.
“I don’t think that there is a need for that. We’ve made it very celar at all the IPAC meetings that we’ll make the list available to all the parties.”
