Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, praised the Ghanaian media for its role in national development and his political campaigns.
At a recent meeting with journalists, he assured that an NPP government would maintain strong ties with the media and uphold media freedom.
Bawumia highlighted the NPP's historical support for media independence, noting that the party repealed the criminal libel law under former President J.A. Kufuor.
He reaffirmed the NPP's commitment to continuing this partnership and promoting democratic governance through media freedom.
