National Pensions Regulatory Authority marks ‘Pension Sunday’ in Presbyterian churches nationwide

The National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) launched 'Pension Sunday' to raise awareness about the importance of pension schemes, especially for informal sector workers.

During events at Presbyterian churches nationwide, NPRA officials highlighted that while 76% of Ghana's workforce is informal, only 9% are enrolled in pension plans.

CEO John Mbroh and Deputy CEO David Abbey emphasized that pensions are essential for everyone and encouraged all workers to check their pension statements regularly and join pension schemes to secure a dignified retirement.
