In the North Tongu district of the Volta Region, community members have apprehended Seledzi Dotse, a suspect in the murder of a Fulani cattle herder in Alabota, near Dorfor.
The herder reportedly confronted Dotse over the unjustified killing of one of his cattle, leading to a violent altercation.
Dotse allegedly inflicted multiple machete wounds on the herder, ultimately splitting his head in two and fleeing with one half.
The police have taken Dotse into custody.
Assemblyman Tse Jupiter Azietor confirmed the incident, stating the herder's son witnessed the attack and reported it, prompting the community and police search.
