November 8 not a public holiday – Interior Ministry

The Ministry of the Interior has announced that Friday, November 8, 2024, will not be a public holiday, despite it being the day for National Farmers’ Day celebrations.

Instead, the statutory holiday will be observed on Friday, December 6, 2024.

This clarification was issued by Interior Minister Henry Quartey on November 5.

The main Farmers’ Day event will take place in the Greater Accra Region, with no regional celebrations this year.

Regional winners in 10 award categories will attend the Awards Night in Accra on November 8 at the Alisa Hotel, where Regional Ministers will present honors.
