The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is the only person who can set himself free, according to Social Commentator, Bernard Allotey Jacobs.
The NDC Chairman is standing trial for conspiracy to assault a public officer and conspiracy to cause harm after he was secretly recorded allegedly outlining plans to denigrate the ruling government among others.
The issue is currently in court.
Recently, there were reports that he was arrested by a team of police officers in Accra at the residence of a member of NDC at Cantonments following a bench warrant secured by the police from court to pick him.
However, the party denied his arrest.
A statement issued by NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, popularly known as General Mosquito said the National Chairman "tendered himself in to the office", after which the security officials "proceeded to search" his house. click to read
