Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA)'s former CEO, has thrown his hat into the ring for the National Democratic Congress (NDC)'s 2020 presidential primaries.
The member of parliament for Ablekuma South indicated his interest in the race on Saturday when he shared his campaign poster on Facebook.
He also sees himself as a visionary and a grassroots man who can unify the NDC. The MP will be contesting former president John Mahama, who is expected to run again.
Vanderpuije, according to the information on the poster, believes that he is humble, trustworthy and experienced.
Some social media users mocked Vanderpuije's announcement that he would run in the NDC primary, urging him to forget the idea.
