Deputy National Organizer of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Chief Hamilton Biney Nixon has said he will have no other name for anyone who claims NDC championed and organized the ‘KUM YEN PREKO’ demonstration than “an ignoramus who has failed to learn anything new”.
He explained that the demonstration was organized by the Coalition for Social Justice [CSJ] but included every citizen experiencing hardship in recent times under President Akufo-Addo’s governance.
“NDC leaders did not lead the ‘KUM YEN PREKO’ demonstration and were not the only group who addressed the crowd, concern drivers association, fishermen association, PPP, PNC and many more other groups also joined the demonstration as some of them addressed the crowd,” he stated.
Chief Biney noted there was an urgent need for such actions against the government because its current leader believes in peaceful demonstrations.
“We want President Akufo-Addo to know the level of hardship in the country,” he told sit-in host Nana Yaw Kesseh.
