Opoku Prempeh not the right choice to partner with Bawumia – Appiah-Kubi

Andy Kwame Appiah-Kubi, a member of the National Council of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and MP for Asante Akim North, disapproves of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's choice of running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, for the 2024 general elections.

Appiah-Kubi believes Opoku Prempeh is not the right choice and cannot campaign effectively in many constituencies.

He expressed his personal preference for a running mate who can connect with MPs and constituents, bring Parliament closer to the executive, and effectively campaign alongside MPs.

Despite his reservations, President Akufo-Addo accepted Dr. Bawumia's choice.
