Osei-Wusu Urges Youth Channel Energies Into Productive Ventures

Berekum (B/A), Aug 15, - The Brong Ahafo regional minister, Mr David Osei-Wusu, has entreated youth groups to channel their energies into productive activities. He said the contribution of the youth is a prerequisite to the successful realization of objectives of the Vision 2020 document. Mr Osei-Wusu was addressing the opening session of the 15th annual national congress of the Ghana National Association of Adventist Students (GNASS) at Berekum . The five-day congress being held under the theme ''Preparing for service to God and humanity'' attracted about 500 delegates. Mr Osei-Wusu, who spoke on ''The role of the Christian youth in population and socio-economic development'', said one of the major contributing factors to high population growth is teenage pregnancy resulting from pre-marital sex. He asked the Christian youth to help reverse this alarming situation by counselling their peers to accept formal education and avoid pre-marital sex.
