Otumfuo arrives home to rousing welcome

Asante Monarch Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has arrived in Kumasi from South Africa.

He was in SA for a “routine medical checkup” and holidays.


His few weeks of absence from Ghana sparked - on social media - a viral wave of death rumours.


The Manhyia palace had to come out to deny the rumours of the Otumfuo's death.

The Monarch himself spoke over the weekend to put matters to rest.


Hordes of his subjects gave him a rousing welcome when he touched down on Tuesday.
