The National Service Scheme (NSS) has released the maiden postings for some 16,000 newly trained teachers.
A statement by the NSS said the teachers have been posted to various educational facilities across the 10 regions of the country.
It comes after a protracted impasse between the education ministry and teachers over the decision to start posting trained teachers on national service.
The teachers say they have already undertaken their mandated horsemanship and will therefore be unfair to ask them to also do national service.
The standoff prevented government from posting the trainees since July when they completed their training.
